The waiting!

Like the promise
of about to fall
nectar-filled rain
on dry hot days,
like the aroma
of hot temptous food,
discovered by an hungry stomach,
like the wondrous strain
of energizing melody
far far away,
getting closer and closer,
like a scented letter
filled with good tidings
that has to come,
sooner than later,
like the magestic peacock
about to preen and dance!.
