Masks

Masks
These masks
Multitudes of them
donned by us,
Some with disdain,
Some with ease!
They adorn
The same one face
From morn to night
Althroughout our waking hours!
These masks
Dexterous, clever, colourful
Now teasing, now fearful,
Yet rarely if ever, they slip.
Oh, our much loved masks
How can we unburden ourselves,,
From the bother of it all
Release...let them all go,
And lay them to eternal rest?
